That is not surprising because GM, Ford and Chrysler actually offer very few "cars" for sale. Ford has the Mustang and that's it. Chevy sells only the Malibu and Corvette. Chrysler/Dodge sells the Charger and that's it.

The richest person I ever knew personally drove a 30+ year old daily driver. They were worth probably more than anyone that's ever visited this site.
Poor and middle to lower upper income like to overspend on cars to try to flex.

My Toyota Corolla is 20 years old and I'm worth 20M. Honestly, I do worry about the airbag on my car. It wasn't subject to recall, but it's OLD. The rest of the vehicle has worked fine all these years with cheap, infrequent maintenance.

This seems to be especially true with my Asian neighbors. Almost all of them drive Lexus LX580 or LS500. All of them had multiple bad experiences with American made cars, with the exception of Tesla. FWIW, I drive the Lexus NX300.
