how is this physically possible??

OP I assume this is rhetorical? Because having 2 under 2 seems fairly common.

Well, to be fair, that's not true. My husband had a soldier attempt suicide when his wife left him with 5 under 5.

11.5 months apart. I am fine. They are teenagers now and that is probably tougher than the early days...

20 months apart, it was great, best parts were when they were at the same school.

Three under three and I survived, no help except spouse. Don’t try to work and just focus on kids. Realize good sleep is not a reality. Nap all together, you and the little ones. The house will be total chaos of toys and playrooms for a while, that is ok. Potty train as soon as 14 months to reduce diaper costs.

You can do it. You'll black it out and forget years of your life. But it is a great age gap later on.

I think that time was absolutely precious. It was physically hard but mentally so rewarding. Good luck, enjoy your babies.

I agree with this. It's a busy, tiring time but it was also really great. I loved that phase with my kids and I love the relationships that grew out of it. In hindsight I wish I had built some systems before we dove into that period such as grocery delivery and having a sitter lined up for a regular 2x a month so I could have a planned break with DH. Congrats, OP!

No. You are the first person on the planet to ever have 2 under 2. We await your wisdom over the coming years.

The first 6 months were the roughest and then it got progressively easier until the baby was about 2/2.5 and then it became so much fun! Now they are 10 & 11.5 and it’s just the best - I can’t imagine anything better! The first 6 months are also the cutest so be sure to take lots of pics and videos.

I agree about with the pp about getting night help but we had a generous grandmother who was willing to sleep on a sofa one night a week for the first month or two. Knowing that we had one full night of no interruptions was such a mood booster.

Same. I am a single parent (had them on my own). We all survived. they are great friends as teens.
