Yup. I have a honey badger I travel with. It supports my arm when I sleep on my side. At home I have a weighted one. When we drive on trips I bring my own pillow like I’m going to a sleep over because I like my pillow.

Why do you care what other people do?

DH here: I did for a while when i was on the road a lot early in my career, a gift from my then long-distance girlfriend. It was a comfort, even though I think of myself as rather mature and well-adjusted. On one trip, I came back to the room to find that the maid at the Ritz-Carlton had tucked it into the bed as if it were sleeping, which I thought was cute and a nice hospitable touch.

She developed a crazy attachment to him when she was about 1 and hasn’t slept without him since. Starting preschool was actually difficult because of the drama of separation. He will definitely go to college with her and i suspect that he’ll be at her wedding if he can stay in one piece.

I know a 17 year old who insists on carrying a stuffed animal from her childhood with her during the day at school. She holds it to her chest as she sits at her desk or places it on the desk. This is a girl with no special needs, just very coddled and immature.

Yes, all the time. We have entire families of animals and speak with them regularly. Some like to travel. Others don’t. They are a rich part of our lives.

We have a stuffed animal in our bed. Our daughter gave her to us. She stays home to watch over the house when we travel.

I sleep with one at home. It's just comfortable to hug something. DH has a small one too and he takes it on travel. He is very much an adult, hates Disney and served in the military. Grownups need comfort too.

No. I honestly would never think traveling with one as an adult was a thing.

No, my childhood favorites are packed away in a box somewhere, but I don’t actively snuggle them.

HOWEVER,

I think this is a great idea that I hope catches on. I would much prefer people have comfort dolls/stuffed animals that they carry everywhere than live comfort animals that can pee/poop, shed allergens, and attack people.

I always sleep with a stuffed animal. I don't carry it around anywhere else but it's nice to wrap my arms around something at night.

The word stuffie is so cringe!

These are the same adults that enjoy Disney.

How do you wash these? My 18 year old has one but I’m afraid it will fall apart if I put it in the washing machine. He doesn’t travel with it.

I am 35 and I sleep with a stuffed donkey that my deceased mother gave me. I also always take one of her stuffed animals with me when I travel. It’s a raven named Morey.

No but I won't judge if someone does. Who cares? Be kind.
