Solar is very viable. Oil and gas is not propping up solar and wind. TX has more renewable energy than any other state for a reason. It's not because the politicians love it. It's because it's reliable and cheap.
No it is because T Boone Pickens convinced Texas legislators that peak oil is coming and we need to subsidize all this renewable energy.
