Are you so petty you can’t celebrate these kids?
If you are, you really can just keep scrolling.

Totally proud of the kids. Well done kids. I find the parents who post about basis really annoying, though. You can’t tell me “stunningly impressive” didn’t make you cringe a bit?
Well, of course it did. But, as an adult, I was able to put that aside in favor of congratulating the students. If I felt I couldn’t do that, I would have kept scrolling.
Well then pat yourself on the back because you’re a better person than me!

There are many UMC Capitol Hill families with kids at BASIS. Know of Princeton and Yale legacy parents with kids at BASIS, though no idea if their kids are in the 2025 class.
It's probably not full of legacies, but it definitely has a bunch.
Legacy doesn't do much nowadays, and some universities and colleges no longer consider it.
Just talk to all the Big 3 legacy parents whose kids didn't get into their alma maters.
Legacy admissions still help a lot-with one study showing that they're 4x likelier to get in than applicants with the same test scores. (Spare me the anecdotes about Ivy Leaguer X's kid not getting in, it doesn't mean every legacy kid gets in, but it still helps, all else fixed).
