Give it a rest. For all you know, it is within a less than 24 hour period or something and OP’a kid hasn’t had the chance to withdraw from the first school. You do get a reasonable time.
How about Georgia Tech, Michigan or Purdue if a kid wants to be an aerospace engineer? Duke doesn’t offer aerospace as a major and these are stronger engineering schools as well.Anonymous wrote:What is the OOS college? I can’t think of any that would be better than Duke. I think the universities SUCK in how they treat kids but I be really worried about them finding out about a prolonged double deposit and rescinding both decisions. When kids sign the common app, they attest that that won't double deposit. There are definitely reports of kids being rescinded from both schools for doing this. It makes me especially nervous coming from a private high school where the college counselors haves relationships with some colleges. I would worry about things getting out.
