Sometimes inequity results in lack of equal protection.
In 2020, my department was temporarily assigned to assist Oklahoma UI. I spoke to many UI applicants living in rural areas. It became apparent that internet access in some rural areas of OK is both expensive and terrible, so that they could not meet online application and reporting requirements reliably. Lack of accessible, reliable internet has a huge impact on access to government agencies.
