Thinking about getting some kind of extension, but don’t know what to ask for that looks the most real. I don’t like the look of “thick acrylic nails” because they just look so fake to me. Is there anything that actually looks real?
Any ideas?
Gel! They can be stared with short nails. They don’t have that fang sharp pointy look.

Many many compliment natural nails that are not grossly long however.
Something to consider.

It is perplexing, for sure. They also recommend the world’s ugliest shoes when asked.
So true. I used to hate when people talked about how basic DC women were, but it is true. Basic as hell.
I love getting my nails done, but why in the world should colored nails be considered basic "grooming?" That's ridiculous - we as women are our own worst enemies. Its sad that a woman is thought of less than just because she decides she doesn't want to indulge in that particular ornamentation. That's even before we get to the fact that the formaldehyde and other chemicals in polish are known toxins.

I get regular manicures with Dazzle Dry (a long lasting quick drying polish) and use this: https://www.nailquail.com/ I go to Nail Saloon in DC. I don’t bite my nails all the time anymore, but they’re always really nice when I have to go in with bitten nails.
I keep my nails short because I’m less tempted to bite them that way, but I go for all sorts of colors. With the right mani, short nails can look great with color.
When I use hand lotion, I’m also less likely to pick at my cuticles.
Good luck!
Is nail saloon any good?
