Even on DCUM, people keep arguing that the Trump administration is actually trying to end illegal immigration while supporting those who come legally. And even on DCUM, people keep urging the protesters to find a better champion of the cause than person X, Y, or Z whose narrative's the Trump administration has already controlled -- in many ways dishonestly and disingenuously.
Well here is a clear-cut miscarriage of justice! This guys is a professional athlete, a beloved community member, and a dad. He came legally. He did everything right. I repeat: HE WAS HERE LEGALLY. He has no criminal record. There is no other way to spin this story (though I fear for him now because I know Kristi will try).
The only thing against Jerce Reyes Barrios are a tattoo and a social media photo with the rock n roll gesture. This is an atrocity. We cannot allow this to happen. There is no excuse. We should all be protesting every day and crying every night.

How in the world would you know this??? (Where some of you get the gall is beyond me.)
He fled a socialist regime that the US supposedly opposes after being tortured for protesting. He entered lthe US egally, passed the credible fear interview, and had an asylum hearing scheduled. He was an upstanding citizen everywhere he ever lived.
THIS IS WHO YOU KEEP SAYING WE WANT IN THIS COUNTRY.

DP. YOU don't get to decide what's a "fake asylum case." A judge does. Get it?

Here’s DHS
“DHS spokesperson Tricia McLauglin said that the feds’ determination that Barrios’ was a gang member goes “beyond a single tattoo” and that they “are confident” in their findings.
She said Barrios was in the US illegally, adding that his tattoos “are consistent with those indicating” Tren de Aragua membership.“

It only lends credibility to the idea that the right has wildly overplayed the issue.
We had 11 million in 2022. Likely an underestimate then, and way more allowed in via Biden after that. Is that enough illegal immigration to be a concern for you?
CIS: “Two separate polls released in the past week show strong support for President Trump’s key immigration policies: closing the border and deporting aliens here illegally. In fact, those are the most popular among the new administration’s policies, underscoring lingering discontent over the prior administration’s much more permissive immigration stances.“.
This was in April, just last month, citing polls by CBS and Harvard.
The claim from Trump was that there will millions of criminals in the country illegally. If that is the case, why aren't they focusing on those criminals rather than US born citizens, green card holders and people otherwise here legally? If there were sooo many criminals here doing crimes who were undocumented, then it should be shooting fish in a barrel to identify them and get them out. That isn't what is happening. Why do you think it is ok for unmarked and unidentified people to simply kidnap people off the streets and have them sent to a gulag? The reason due process is REQUIRED under the US Constitution is to ensure people who are here legally or are US born people are not mistakenly sent abroad or otherwise imprisioned. I thought the right was for the Constitution and the rule of law?
I read somewhere several weeks ago that the problem is there aren't enough people filling his claims about really horrible criminals and people from "insane asylums" to get him the numbers he wanted.
Obviously, if that had been true, then are doing a terrible job wasting time on people who do not present a risk to the public and getting bogged down in court proceedings while the real "horrible criminals" are going about whatever they do.

Prove it in court or STFU.
No need to.
