Nice try but Gtown, Holy Cross and Notre Dame were the only 3 national schools for over 150 years. ND has $20 billion, while HC has an alumni base includes Supreme Court, Nobel Prize winner in medicine, Dr Fauci, and recently, Vice Chair of Harvard Corporation in news a lot with feud with President Trump. Georgetown was founded in 1700’s. Prestige is acquired over centuries, BC and Villanova don’t have that luxury, But great boast for Villanova.

^Nope. ND>Georgetown>Holy Cross>Nova=BC. Georgetown is most secular and gets perhaps a higher% of non Catholic applicants. ND has the huge endowment and football branding advantage. Holy Cross has niche spot of being top25 LAC. Now Villanova has some great news but needed as US News rank fell to 58 fairly low. BC and Villanova rely on sports success for favorability- football and hoops respectively. But ND, Georgetown, and HC have a larger much older prestige advantage to overcome don’t believe even Pope Leo can overcome.

Yes!! So much going there even before the Pope. All great schools but yes on Villanova rising in a huge way!!!
