This. A lockdown is disruptive and scary. If police are able to have the suspect in custody and remove the gun from their possession their is no need for a lockdown.

Please just don't fire anymore teacher for things out of their control. Kids are crazy enough and the job is overwhelming and underpaid so retaliation ruins lives and careers when education has enough problems.
