Honestly, the salaries are reasonable. I have a lot of friends and family who work in professional, semi-pro and club soccer. They work really hard are not there to get rich. The "you're just in it for the money" thing is a bizarre mentality that many parents have about a lot of professionals (teachers, coaches etc) that work with their children. It's silly.

Glad to hear the second teams have the same philosophy as the first teams. Bethesda actually does a great job at teaching proper soccer despite all the complaints here (said as a DMV transplant who played them recently).

Bethesda B team played our club's top team a few weeks back and I had a very different impression than OP from what I saw. The Bethesda players were way more organized on the field and had much better control of the ball, passed better etc than our kids.
