It’s cheap for a basic mirror but if you need something with sensors it’s a lot more.

I've done this too OP. We have a small garage and I hit the mirror backing out. It cracked the plastic.
Sadly, it's a new Suburu Outback and the mirror was 1K for a replacement. It may depend on whether you just cracked the glass or did what I did and cracked the plastic.

The glass shouldn’t be expensive, but if you need the entire thing to be replaced it will be $800-$1000. We got a used one at a small so with paint (it was a diff color) for $800. It was $1k at the dealer.

You have to take the door off on a newer car, so it’s not the replacement of yesteryear.

If it makes you feel any better, I did this on the very first day of owning my new car!

I once replaced mine with an Amazon part. It was so easy. They may have become more complex since.

I had a deep fatigue backing up problem the first year postpartum. Our alley gate ate my passenger mirror. I ordered the part online and our local mechanic installed it for under $200.
My car required the interior door panel removal for installation and it was past my abilities at the time.

Also, it happens. Pull in moving forward (not intended to be a joke there but realizing it prob is…)

It really is no different pulling in or backing in with most spaces. Maybe if it’s really tight spot in parking garage. Idk. Folks think they’re professional drivers around here, mostly they’re not.
