So far, Williams has been easier than high school for DS. He has a 4.0 and is hoping to double major in Math and Psychology.

Pretty great first year at a midwestern SLAC as a recruited athlete. Juggling team commitments and academics wasn't easy, and kid got quite sick twice over the course of the year. But overall: Grades were good, independence greatly increased, core group of friends through the team has been amazing, and confidence has been boosted. My kid is very ready to come home and rest for a couple of months!

Great year at Syracuse. Professors seemed to care, right level of difficulty and easy to make friends.

That’s great! I’ve heard good things about GMU.

And I agree with you - people can have whatever impressions they want. My kid is at another state school and people have impressions - but every person’s experience is unique!

I live in AZ, it's way better than the DMV humidity. Univ of Arizona is a good safety. Honestly, if you can't make A's there then just go home to Montgomery College. My DD is finishing her first semester in the Master's program at Eller and she said it's been a complete piece of cake compared to her undergrad. She said she should have done undergrad at UofA. Way more fun and parties and a lot less stress over homework and exams.
