No, let's take the money we're saving to buy down the national debt, since that GD thing is eating us alive.
Let Alabama take care of Alabama. Stop socializing every problem across the masses. The federal government is inefficient, out of touch, and screws up everything it touches.

But ripping up the Rose Garden to turn it into another Mar a lago is ok with you? I’d personally rather help people not live in sewage, but that’s just me.
Personally, I'd rather people start to become self-sufficient instead of relying on politburos to run every aspect of our lives.
Why do you put so much trust in politicians? They all remind us how corrupt and self-serving they are, regularly. That's not a D or R thing. That's universal. Yet, you're perfectly fine with them taking over every aspect of everyone's life and TBH, they suck at it and remind us of that constantly.

Time to fix sheet, instead of nursing it along like a third world country.

Major part of the space program has been there for decades.

Once we figured out we could print money... The inevitable happens. Anybody with discipline is steamrolled by the sloppy, slovenly and somewhat stinky gaggle of losers who make up a vast majority of clueless consumers of precious resources and producers of fecal matter. They vote with their overused pieholes and buttholes until collapse. Then they scream bloody murder curled up in the fetal position cursing God.

Alabama IS a third world country. The local or state government obviously doesn't have the will to fix the problem, which has persisted for generations, and is occurring in a largely Black and poor community. The federal government felt it had to intervene and I think that's an appropriate role for the federal government. I bet you're okay with the feds trying to expand internet service in isolated, largely White rural areas but this is a bridge too far for you?
There have been many Democratic administrations that could have addressed the problems of the largely Black and poor communities. Why didn't FDR, JFK, LBJ, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, or Joe Biden do anything about it? They have pandered to those communities for votes and you would think the least they could do is throw some sanitation their way.
