This x1000. It's already hitting at Costco. My neighbor said our store didn't have any TP yesterday. He works there and said people are already panic buying.

Don't forget that you have to also consider consumer behavior. Product availability will be impacted both by true scarcity AND by consumer behavior. Just like with Covid, people will be increasingly scared and will begin clearing shelves.

This doesn't take into account that the companies that supply Walmart, Target and Home Depot built their inventory up ahead of time to weather the tarrifs through Q2 of 2025.

Even the stuff you buy Made in America almost certainly have Chinese components or were mostly made in China. All you have to do is "alter" a product in the USA to be able to put a Made in USA sticker. There is no firm definition or law of what "altered" means. The company I used to work for bought all the parts from China and assembled them here in the US. But, to get one leg up from having to use the "Assembled in USA" label and be able to use the Made in USA label, we painted and stickered some of the parts. That fit the definition of altering them and qualified us for the Made in America label.

The plastic bottles and other plastic packaging that all your products come in - Made in China. More than 50% of the aluminum used for canning comes from China and Canada.

The CEOs of some of the biggest retailers (Walmart, Target, Home Depot) met with Trump and let him know that the tariffs would cause empty shelves in the next few weeks. Most retailers told Trump that they have 6-8 weeks worth of goods.

I don't remember which one it was that was on the Today show last week because I was working while listening, but they said that consumers will first start seeing empty shelves in mid to late May.

It’s a large system and there is still water in the hose. Once that is through the system there is nothing or very little behind it. This will cause layoff in manufacturing in the US.

Trump has fires most of the people who were responsible for this. The other day the computer system crashed and the US did not collect tariffs that day. There are ways to game the system, lie or pay off people. In other words smuggling. We could see the Trump administration just looked the other way and allows large scale smuggling.


Trump is claiming 8 billion a day in tariff revenues and the reality is more like 200-250M.

The debt is exploding.

And those "revenues" are crested solely by increased taxes paid by the consumer.

No Trump did this pretty fast and without warnings. The majority of companies were caught.


We started stocking up because of a potential dockworkers strike at the beginning of the year and then we had plenty to time between the announcement of the tarrifs and their implementation. Remember that the tarrifs were on and then off and then on again.
