It looks like ECNL-R teams play maybe fewer games throughout the year (on a year-basis rather than season?), more tournaments, and obviously more practices per week. I understand from other threads that we should ask about roster size and how much playing time she might get. What else am I not thinking about?

ECNL-R is a money grab. Same applies to low end ECNL/GA. If you are not in a top GA or ECNL team, forget it.

What a ridiculous notion. Any activity in which you aren't participating at the very top is a money grab and not worth the money? Buying a Toyota is a money grab because it's not a Lexus? University of Maryland is money grab because it's not Ivy League? A vacation to Ft Lauderdale is a money grab because it's not South Beach? Everyone gets to apply their own value judgement when spending their own money. What an asshat.

Also you didn't mention boys/girls, but the teams currently in the various leagues are listed here

Generally you do a home/home at the younger ages and possibly only 1 game for the older ages. Showcases/tournaments for RL should be more local, but again all depends on the club.

That depends which RL league you are in. Some of the leagues mirror the NL league (usually b teams of the NL teams), some are completely separate. Also depending which part of the country you are talking about. Need more info to answer the question.
