Because if I’m going to send my kid out into the world to be influenced by other adults and peers for 7 hours a day, it’s comforting to know that those influencers share our faith and worldview.
DC can always choose to go another way or form friendships later with people of other faiths and worldviews, but his foundation will be as a believer in Christ surrounded by other believers who will encourage his faith to grow.
There’s plenty of time to be challenged and explore questions when he is old enough to discern AND feel secure in who and whose he is.

Yeah, I mean, in a discussion of the school when someone says “the stabbing” and another person says “which one?” you know you have a problem.

Started because of covid closures, stayed for the strong music program and public speaking experience. This is at a K-8; kid will return to public for HS.

And, since there are always replies about avoiding woke public schools - public school is not woke enough for me. I'm glad our private school teachers can talk about current events and the librarian doesn't have to deal with any nuttos trying to ban books.

Public schools in Virginia are far too racist.

School size. Few hundred kids vs few thousand.

Because I didn't want my kid at an overcrowded, mega school with grade inflation.

Because the public schools can’t support AND challenge a 2e kid.

It’s family tradition.
