My wife was cheating with her trainer. Early 50s. Found out and she will soon be out of my life. And here’s the thing: you’d never expect it from her. She must’ve rationalized it. What you isn’t what you get.

I have 2 friends whose husbands were fired after having affairs with women at work. I am not privy to the details, but both couples divorced after. Pretty awful.

I currently know of 3 women in their 40s that are cheating. The funny part is none of them consider it cheating.

Yes, you do. People don’t talk about it because it’s wrong. Just like you would have a hard time believing that 30% of the women you know have had an abortion or 25% of women you know have been physically abused by a partner. It’s common.

I must be pretty sheltered because I don't personally know any cheaters. One coworker's husband cheated, but I only found that out when she told me she was divorcing him.

I know several men and women. Men are in their 40s and women in their 30s. There is no texting or love involved, just sex. I doubt they get caught. Literally quick outing when they have free hour.

It suddenly feels like going from no one to everyone now that I'm in “the club”.


Oh yeah. No one gets the real deal because you don't want to pull mutual, decades-long couple friends into the drama.

I'm divorcing a cheater in his 40s. Not sure if he hid it well or I am just overly trusting but it went on a long time before I got suspicious. He says he hates himself now, but who knows how he really feels. Dude is defective

I think it’s definitely more common than you’d think - typically no one is advertising it. Of my close college group there have been 2 that i know of which holds to the 20% number.

My spouse is one of them and when I’ve told people about why we’re divorcing I’ve gotten a LOT of unexpected stories. Parent affairs i never knew about in friends whose parents seem to have the perfect marriage, first husband and wives of casual friends that i never even knew about. It suddenly feels like going from no one to everyone now that I'm in “the club”.

I am sure I probably do, but how would I know that? None of my circles would openly accept that behavior.
