If you are in New York City there’s a group called On Location tours that will drive you around New York and point out the Seinfeld coffee shop, etc.

There is also a bus tour from Dublin to the giants causeway in Northern Ireland where you get to see a lot of game of thrones sets. That is pretty remarkable.

When I was a teen we went to Boothbay Harbor in Maine because my sister was obsessed with the musical Carousel.

I went there as a side trip from
Seattle. It was a delightful day.

My daughter recently went to the Fijian island where Castaway was filmed. She also took a boat trip around the one where Survivor is filmed. As a huge Survivor fan, she loved it.

Leavesden Studios (another London day trip) to see the Harry Potter film sets. Definitely worth it for fans of the series.

NYC for tons of shows.

Highclere was basically saved by Downton Abbey filming there. The house was in serious disrepair and was unlivable due to water damage, with parts of the house having collapsed. The owners were trying to find the money to fix it by promoting its King Tut connection (Lord Carnavron owned the house). They were able to afford the necessary repairs after Downton Abbey increased tourism. It needed something like 15 million in repairs.

A lot of those old houses have ended up owned by the National Trust because they're just too expensive for the individual families to maintain them.

I watched a documentary about Hampton Court palace and really wanted to visit. It is delightfully weird.
