Why not post the last 5 rosters since February?

Because his kid wasn't on those!

Again, you may not like him for whatever reasons but tell me another high level girls director that is doing MORE than he does for their programs.

There isn't any around here.

What exactly is he doing? He's good at recruiting top players to a club but I've seen no evidence that those top players wouldn't have been just as well off at another top club. He's certainly not developing soccer players. What is doing for the players?

My DD plays at another area club and he is certainly the biggest hypeman around. There are constant posts on X, Insta, etc about the club, the college coaches at practice, the goals scored...regardless of what you think, it apparently is making a difference. FWIW, my DD plays against his U16 squad. He has been able to consolidate talent in the area bringing in players from other clubs to that squad. They have added again with the NVA blow-up...IDK if those players will be joining them in SD for playoffs, but if so, they will be a force. We'll see if they can break through and make it to the top of the mountain.

Talent ID is a little bit of both, generally always SOME sort of merit to them, but also there is a LOT of favoritism involved in the decision and at the end of the day the posts to social media are ALWAYS done for marketing, promotion, and FOMO.

When you have the USYNT scouts in your payroll you’ll send several players to these camps. USNT pools are the result of connections. It is becoming a joke. I watched a clip of U16 game against Spain, unbelievable thatUS couldn’t keep the ball more than 5 seconds.

I saw that game as well. They just don't know how to play out of the back. How many teams consistently play out of the back?

It says these players aren’t the same players from fall roster. They probably just want to see more girls because I remember the fall roster have several kids from west coast that aren’t listed here

Bethesda had a player in that game. VDA had 2. Bethesda also had 2 at u17 concacaf and VDA had 1.

Also doesn’t fit dcum narrative! There are YNT level players in dmv. They just aren’t your DD’s.

Anonymous wrote:VDA's best u15 or 2010s are in fact 2011 and they were at the recent u14 camp. So VDA is doing just fine, thanks!

Latest VDA social media claims a VDA player has been called into 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, and u20 usynt events in the last 12 months.

Bethesda has definitely had a lot of call ups too.

I know that doesn’t fit the dcum narrative though.

U14's don't have a national camp. Those recent U14 camps were regional which are still just club coach doling out invites as incentives to keep players/parents happy at their club.

One day the ignorant will learn national teams, youth to senior, is more about politics than talent
Also, you can't have 500 players on a roster

Outside of a very small number of obvious standouts, most of the youth national camp rosters are indistinguishable from each other and for that matter, no different than most of the rest of the players from the regional ID centers. They could easily replace most of the players with others and it would look the same. How do certain players "break through" while others don't? Lots of factors but politics, connections, coaches, brand name clubs absolutely plays a big part. Despite what some clubs in the area may tell you, those connections are not strong in this area.
