That high school have over 2500 students. Is what your DC makes it. They will be able to do join whichever "club" they want. They are some kids that skip class, smoke, vape, and fails all their classes, and they are some other kids who are doing great. Most of the kids are doing okay or great, if they have the right friends their will be nothing to worry about. The school has gang as it did when I attend there, but I don't think the school has any more issues than any other issues in FCPS.

"West Potomac High School is currently in a Stay Put, Stay Tuned safety protocol following an isolated incident at the school that has been contained. We will provide additional information in the next 30 minutes but there is no current threat to the school," the school’s parent-teacher association said in a message on social media.
Fairfax County Public Schools said the building is not on lockdown, but no one is allowed to leave or enter.”
This is completely absurd. Children should be able to leave if their parent comes to check them out. There will be lawsuits from this.

Anonymous wrote:It was a dangerous school when I went there in the early 90s. We couldn’t wear belts with metal studs or jeans that were too wide/baggy because someone hid a bat in the leg of their jeans and then pulled it out on someone during school.
