Yeah they just wanted to get you off the phone with your fake whiny "medical condition"
I bet everyone has their same seat assignment.

It shows up on our ticket app. Why would the airline have this form and tell us to use it? We just asked on their agent chat and that's what they told us to do

I wouldn't just agree to a passenger request. I would move reluctantly if told by the flight attendant. I would expect some comp from the airline if I paid for the window seat, especially in first class!

I don't think airlines should accommodate these requests. It's not like there is only one flight ever that goes to a location.

The list of "medical" conditions would be endless too.

That's true, the cost varies from $30-50.

It should be more since I often book early and pay extra so my family can sit together.

So why didn't you book earlier if you needed a window seat? Or find another airline or just not fly if you have a bad back? You have choices.

How is 2 4 2 configuration First Class? Doesn't sound like OP paid for FC.

Do you have a medical condition? We have never requested a seat based on medical condition and were referred to do so when we chatted with the agent. We had to submit a doctors note to the medical and disability request form.

Yes, I have insomnia.

BS excuse to get a window.

He could have sat in either of the very middle two seats and then he wouldn't have to get up for anyone.

We already paid for first class and there were no seats available except for the middle.

There were other flights. You need what you need, but the fact is you made a choice to inconvenience someone else and you should at minimum be willing to say so when the person shows up. It's the equivalent of waving when someone lets you merge.

That said, presumably the bumped passenger received an email aout their new seat at the time of change. If so, it won't even come up.

I think this is fake too. OP either didn't spring for non middle seats up front or the whole thing is just some weird hypothetical.
