Please. OP clearly cares enough about kid soccer to be posting here about something that wouldn’t even be on their radar if they weren’t invested. Rest assured OP wishes her kid was good at soccer and is feeling insecure about it. The parents of actual athletic children who just aren’t interested in that level of commitment aren’t out there trying to put other parents down. They’re just living their lives happy with their decisions.

A hysterical rec parent. The solution is easy, if age groups change and your dd's friends want to play up have at it. For the rest of the kids that are tired of playing up with a grade above them and finally get to play against those their grade woohoo! It's rec is not a big deal.
