City council is ordering an independent investigation. We'll see what comes of this.

Interesting that you think this is about Democrats rather than cops. One of these groups has statistically sky high domestic violence and sexual harassment rates, and it's not related to political party.

The city council in Takoma Park often virtue-signaling about how they care about low-income community members, underrepresented minorities, and the queer community. Let's see how elected leaders handle this. My guess is that they will hide behind "It's a personnel matter and therefore, everything is confidential. We can't discuss anything publicly."

But the public knows the names of the man who harassed, and those who retaliated against, the black woman who served as a dispatcher and survived this 1-year+ experience. We will see if names of the harasser and retaliators disappear from the staff list. If those names stay on the staff list, we'll know the the city council did nothing.
