The cycle continues.
Something horrible happens (a la The Jungle or Great Depression or voter disenfranchisement) —> leading to lots of regulations/law to make sure thing doesn’t happen again —> the thing doesn’t happen —> republicans are like “why do we have so many regulations! we don’t have any problems! Get rid of them!” —> the thing starts happening again…
