Teachers have annual salaries. They are not hourly. This is misinformation.
People are easily confused. Most teacher sign contract and those contracts stipulate working conditions including working hours. My contracted hours are 7:30-2:35. I am not required to work before or after those hours or during my 45 minute lunch break. I receive a salary even though I work specified hours. If teachers were to switch from salaried to hourly employees, the school districts would go broke paying overtime.
