Maybe capital will bite the bullet and move to have a youth team and then that would solve all the problems!

And you're right, and if you're happy with the current process and the sh***y website and non-existent social media for your DD, then this shouldn't affect her or her teammates' process. If there are changes, I would guess they would only show up and affect the girls currently in elementary and middle school.
The challenge going forward is that Capital will start to have to convince these girls to leave the clubs, rather than the way they all flock to Capital now. Facts are that when those younger girls start with these other clubs early on, and when not, if they are convinced that they are equal, if not better, options for them for HS, why would they leave. Capital will learn that the YJ and M&D names carry real weight, no matter what the city name is after.
As long as BLC ends in 8th grade, Capital will be in great shape. MDU Bethesda would need to offer 100% discounts to entice families to leave the only successful program in montgomery county.

Just like I don’t understand why they haven’t started developing players at the middle school level. It makes no sense and, honestly, could eventually end up being a big downfall of the club. Look where Coppermine and SW are now as compared to a few years ago, and then ask SW how it has worked out when they didn't take Coppermine seriously.
It would upset or blow up the cosy Stars/HealthyBalleers/Capital relationships. Perhaps there’s an informal agreement that Capital and Stars won’t compete with each other.
Stars only started the HS teams with the 25's, but they essentially take what's left after the Capital, YJMA, and Pride tryouts have concluded, and they are no more than a C-level club team in HS at best. It has also been said that was the reason for the MCE purchase to try and jumpstart the HS teams and recruiting, so far it's been less than lackluster, to say the least.

I guarantee none of these clubs are entering this market expecting to immediately take over Capital. This is going to take a few years to build, which I fully expect them to do. And when not if they convince the girls who start with them in elementary and middle school to stay through high school, instead of leaving for the high school-only Capital, it could become a serious problem.
What I don’t understand is why the Capital parents don’t demand a stronger social media presence. I don’t get Capitals' aversion to using it and adapting to the times. The model clearly does not need a better website or stronger social media presence to be successful. I happen to be a Capital parent and the club leadership has clearly communicated to me the steps that will be taken to get my daughter recruited, and none of those steps require a good website or splashy Instagram posts. I am satisfied with the plan for her and would, frankly, oppose any reallocation of resources away from her development and towards the building their social media presence.

These other teams have to build the reputations of their DC high school programs basically from scratch, and the absolute best case scenario would be to have results comparable to the ones Capital already achieves with their deficient website and Instagram posts.

These other clubs are picking up on stuff that Capital just isn’t paying attention to, and that will hurt in the long run. Hopefully, this pushes Capital to restructure or even grow into the MS age group. The competition has been doing a good job building their brands, and they’re taking advantage of Capital’s weak spots, like not being on social media and not having teams for younger players. I assure you, the goal for MDU and M&D DC is to start recruiting earlier and hang onto those players through high school. If Capital doesn’t start keeping up—by adding at least middle school teams and getting someone to run an active social media, like an up-to-date website and Instagram—it’s going to fall behind.
Someone (MDU) has moved Capitals cheese. Will they adapt and find where it was moved to, or will they keep going back to the spot it used to be and eventually starve...

Mddc has the 29's. Yj has the 2030s. Blc is only good until HS. There is room for a club to establish itself as a good foundation from ES to HS in Bethesda. I wonder if Coppermine jumps into this battle.
