The Observatory protest was most likely a trap. It’s been denounced by 50501 and the event page is no longer available.
Look into the Monument protest before attending.
I would stick with 50501 Mutual Aid of Tesla Takedowns.
Some bad actors out there trying to get Trump a reason to call for Insurrection act and/or violence.

Just have people show up and peacefully protest and commune with each other over our disgust at the current state of the Republic.

People did that during Trump 1 and look how it worked out...
The whole city and region are paying for that now, and it seems clear a lot of what's going on is motivated by revenge. But you guys just keep poking the bear...
Now we have a whole of people and institutions NOT poking and even aligning with the bear, and look how that is turning out. Appeasing tyrants doesn’t work.
In my opinion, the point is not to change this corrupt and incompetent administration, it’s to let everyone else know there will be support and votes for you (looking at you, Congress, both houses and both parties) when you finally, finally stand up.
