I sincerely doubt any woman with a history of just 5 partners is into rough sex, unless one of those lovers was particularly adventurous.

Some men have never received feedback and opportunity to become better lovers.
I have and sex isn’t that good. Vanilla sex is pretty good but I’m not a vanilla kind of girl sometimes. I prefer a little rough. He tries but he’s just not that guy. He seems timid to call me names or get rough.
Great guy, otherwise.

He makes great money, treats me well, our lifestyle and future goals are aligned, we get along super well, and life is just easy with him. I know that you can’t have everything in one partner but I was hoping the sex would be more than just mediocre. Is it worth it to forego great sex for a great man?
Is he easy to conversate with? Has good conflict resolution skills? Doesn’t shy away from talks about feelings or difficult topics? Does he advocate for you or others when obviously needed to?
Basically someone passionate and in tune with others’ needs or feelings would also be good at sx. Someone mechanical and zero emotional is check the box about things, and sx.
Yes you can always take the lead in new bedtime adventures BUT, also make sure you are not taking the lead in everything about the relationship (what to do, where to go, how to think about this or that, where to live, to get engaged, etc.). Real men need to take the lead in many aspects of life and relationships.
IOW, i hope the lackluster sx is not the tip of the iceberg of a lackluster partner.

Is he awkward in bed? Or just not as adventures as you?
Many don’t go 0-500 on the adventure scale, just go in increments and maybe you only make it to 250. As you grow and trust each other more. Btw you don’t want to appear like a slut either.
