It’s not dirty. Weekend two when the grass is pounded down maybe a tad but everyone know knows weekend 1 is better because that’s where you get all the special guests and the grass is green. This isn’t Woodstock with rain and mud. And yeah there’s a crew who do psychedelics but it’s over 100 degrees out there and not really any place I’d ever do drugs (if I did them) for that reason alone. Too hot, hoot big. It’s a marathon not a sprint.
This year, the line up did not do it for us so we’re Couch-chella the stream and only watching the few were interested in. Kraftwerk soon…
NP and I appreciate this take. I do still think you get dirty and dusty and festivals. I used to go to Jazz Fest in New Orleans all the time and while that isn’t known for being dirty I still spent the day dripping sweat and feeling like I was covered in dust.
