I decided that upgrading my iPhone makes sense but I’m leaving town for spring break so I hope they will still be offering the free upgrade when I return.

I got extra Japanese food items in case they become hard to get. I bought another Dyson so we can have one on each floor.

No, because I have no need for new things. Iphone still works fine. My car is was bought last year.
I'm busy buying the dip. Bought a stocks that hasn't been this low for years. Every $1 it goes up, I make $3000.
I'm hoping to get my rental lowered or move to a cheaper on in the same building. I'm a light mover. Not a big deal.
This is my way to deal with tariffs. Definitely not buying stuff. If any, bringing free food home from work.
Should I call Amica for car insurance? I have Geico now. They are all rip-off.

My stupid DH wants to buy an $8000 Rolex before tariffs kick in. We have been fighting over this unnecessary purchase at this uncertain time. At least he gave up on the G wagon he was so obsessed with a few months ago.

iPhone prices really are not a big issue in the US. Very few people actually buy an unlocked phone like in the rest of the world. It’s like leasing a car. No one really knows how much it cost.

100% - buy what you'll use to be comfortable, not "emergency rations" that are different during your day to day. I think a lot of us learned we want more comfort items during a crisis than simply survival items.

I bought a MacBook last weekend. I had been procrastinating but the tariffs provided enough motivation to actually make the purchase.

Yeah - I said on another thread, this feels like heading back into COVID times with messed up supply chains. I stocked up on TP, allergy meds, and pet food. Stuff I know I am going to need. Everything else - well, we'll see what happens. Prbly not a bad idea to fill the pantry with canned and frozen food, but we haven't done it yet.


I'm trying to just buy double on every grocery trip of things that have a decent shelf life. I learned some lessons during COVID about how many almonds I can and will eat in a year.

I stocked up on Nespresso capsules. I'm sure those aren't getting any cheaper.
