That could have been worded differently so it was more about how you felt and what you noticed and less an accusation.

That and they way you have conducted these posts suggests strongly you are a poor communicator and maybe have a personality disorder of some kind.

I guess I don't understand why you're being so petty about that. Maybe she's not good with words and wanted help to express how she felt. You still have to put something in AI to get a response. AI or not, she was right that you were feeling unseen and unheard with the way she was talking down to you and pushing you aside. So whatever. Accept her apology or don’t. It’s not that deep.

Fade out the friendship. No need for a dramatic breakup or anything. Just pull back, emotionally divest, and focus on other friends.

Case closed.

To me, you sound controlling and annoying. No one asked for 5 paragraphs? Sounds like only a very particular response would have satisfied you.

People who send greeting cards and only sign their names are also relying on the words of another to express how they are feeling. Would an apology card also have offended you?

Sounds like you don't have the emotional bandwidth for the bolded.

But you don't have to be all dramatic. Respond with a simple "thank you" and distance yourself quietly. That way you don't have to have completely trashed the friendship and can take it up again if you chose when you have more bandwidth to support her.
