Haha. Years ago, when my son was a toddler we got a backup bunny because my son was always losing his “original bunny” around the house. Eventually we had to keep track of TWO bunnies that were always going missing.
OP, I like the idea of saving it for potential future grandchildren. My son is now a sophomore in college and his bunny sits on his dresser, abandoned (*sniff*). It’s more sentimental to me than it is to him, at this point. My daughter, on the other hand, is 18 and still sleeps with her tattered and beloved “blankie” every night (though she’s not sucking her fingers anymore, thankfully!).
