It became too soap opera like in season 3. It was a great series initially, but they’ve dragged it out in such a way that it’s no longer interesting.

I used to be so excited to watch this show. Sad how it's declined.

Ugh, it’s so bad! On the one hand, it’s way too many slo mo close ups with dramatic music instead of acting, but on the other hand as soon as they start talking and doing stuff they make literally the dumbest choices. But I want to know how it ends. I just play it in the background while I work on puzzles. I don’t even need to look at it.

Guys, we saw this coming, right?

That scene was a major plot point critical to propelling the final series forward.

Let’s face, this season has been a snooze fest until this episode, right?

But we knew May Day’s plan would never work. Too easy. Too soon in the season to have such a big event.

The closet scene made a few big points:

1. Nick is scared and desperate to save himself.

2. June still loves Nick (or did).

3. Fiery, badass June is back. And that’s the biggest shift: we need June to be fired up and ready to fight. She’s been rather blah this season, and we need a hero to do something big.

PS - Lawrence remains the gem in this boring slog of a show.

I also stopped after S2. It’s too violent for me, and I had a hard time reconciling the characters’ decisions.

I've watched the whole show and agree that its better days are behind it, but I'm a bitter ender and will watch to the end.

Suprisingly, to me, June has become the least interesting character and is serving as a plot device to move the story forward. I think they really missed a chance to develop June more as someone who was transformed by her circumstances and developed in ways she never anticipated. It's done (badly) when Holly asks - why do they want you? June's transformation to badass has never felt genuine. Like, when Sarah Connor gets ripped in the psych hospital you 100% understand why and how she's gone through this transformation and you are willing to buy it.

I can't decide what they are doing with Serena. Every time the story progresses to her gaining the tiniest bit of introspection she's pulled back into Gilead and reverts. The memories of her father and her neglecting his roses was powerful and sad. But as soon as Lawrence and Naomi show up she seems to go back, all in. Although I will admit that this time she's dealing with the threat of being found and killed, or dragged back to the evil Canadian couple. I think she has a redeeming moment by the end of the show where she realizes the should live and let live.

I think we have at least one major character death - predictions? I think almost every character is on the table except Serena, June, Holly, and the babies.

Speaking of Holly - I found that reunion a little cheesy, but I still loved it.

I feel like Moss is punking us with this tactic at this point.

Not to mention that the reforms of New Bethlehem seem to be totally against everything they were doing in Gilead. The houses look different. Even the scene with Naomi at the end of Episode 3 was weird. Like. Maybe it’s the Joseph influence but she just doesn’t hold back at all.

Can we also note that Toronto and Boston are nowhere near each other? That’s bothered me for a while.
Isn't that the point of New Bethlehem — to lure people back?

I hate when shows are unrealistic about geography. Like in the first episode, the train is heading west from Toronto, they hear that Vancouver isn't accepting trains, June falls asleep, and why next thing she knows they are in Alaska?

They wouldn't crush souls like that considering the reality in which we find ourselves.
