Every time he complains, ask him if he needs to see the doctor.

I have dry eyes right now because of allergies and an autoimmune condition that causes dry eyes. Nothing to do with glaucoma, but with that added issue, I would be getting him to the ophthalmologist more frequently.
You just gave me an idea! I have anti allergy eye drops I never opened and I think they are still not expired, OTC. I’ll bring him those!
You probably should check with his ophthalmologist first before telling him to use different eye drops than the ones the doctor recommended.

I have an eye condition (not glaucoma) that requires a particular regimen of different types of eye drops. I would never add in a different type of drops without checking with my ophthalmologist first.

I thought if it was otc it was fine, but I’ll have him ask his Dr first

Yeah that’s what I said to him, he can skip as much as he likes. He doesn’t want to go to general get togethers for some reason.

Let him skip the things you "make him" do and see if the complaints go away. If they do go away, problem solved. Just find an activity he can do that isn't so cognitively stressful. See if there is coffee/tea and chat or lunch activity where he can just be with others.

And honestly I think he just wants to complain and justify why he isn’t doing “more” of whatever it is!
