I wouldn’t worry about it. Wear what is comfortable.
Disagree. Don’t wear sneakers. Have your son wear sperrys.
Ok, go ahead and disagree. But we didn’t have sperrys or time to go out and buy them. I literally called the admissions office, spoke to a woman and asked her this question and she said “please don’t go out and buy shoes just for shadow day. Sneakers are fine”.
My son got in this year, class of 2029. So it worked out for us. But you do you and disagree. That’s fine.
Your son doesn’t have any nicer shoes? What does he wear to Mass? I am not saying you can’t show up in sneakers, I am a saying that your son will look and feel out of place. Buy him a pair of sperrys unless it is really a financial hardship for your family.

I don't think it's just for K-8's but it's not well advertised. My DS only did it in spring of 7th because a friend with a sibling already at Gonzaga told him about it and I signed him up in time. If I recall correctly, this was more of a group tour/shadow, they weren't paired off with individual kids like it is in the fall. But my DS enjoyed it and it kind of solidified that Gonzaga was where he wanted to go.
Thank you so much!!
Also to the earlier PP asking about shoes, something like this is what my DS has
