DH bought a Rav4 Prime June 7 2024. He first filled up the tank in NOVEMBER 2024.

We installed a level 2 charger in our garage. He basically drives on electricity all the time with a few sips of gas when needed. I don't think it is a problem for the gas b/c it is continually getting sloshed around (mixed up).

I could not entertain giving a penny to jackass Musk -- and that was last June. I'm SO glad he didn't get a Tesla. And I like the security of having a full tank of gas if needed.

Question on PHEVs (may be dumb q)..Assuming mostly local driving, I'll be using the EV powertrain for the most part. Let's say I only end up using the gas portion about once a month or so. Is that a problem for the gas stored in the tank? For the other parts of the gas powertrain - engine, oil, etc?

I really like my new Corolla Cross hybrid suv. AWD and 45 mpg.

We wanted to get a three-row vehicle after having a Prius to be able to accommodate local family. This was a very useful to have but not a must-have change for us, and we wanted to keep our mpg similar. The plug-in hybrid was the only way to do it. We can get most of our city driving done on just electric and with the solar panels on our house, it makes us feel better about driving around a bigger car than we need.

I miss my Prius, though.

Two power trains but the electric one has virtually no issues - that's just how they are - and youll be using the gas one far less than ordinarily would.

Get both.
