1000 isn’t very much. I’d just go to Costco and buy their best deals on shelf stable things like paper towels and stock up for a couple years. That’s the best way to leverage that 1000 down your budget.

American Girl in 2020 - I'd buy Joss' surf bus for my daughter (and me!) and not feel an ounce of guilt.
But now maybe eBay, where 1K wouldn't cover the cost, but also wouldn't involved time travel.
