U10G head coach is a good guy, but he is very unclear about what his expectations are to allow a player to develop and move up to the first team. He has been like this for the last three years, and it is infuriating to get him to be clear about what needs to be worked on beyond "athleticism and technical skills." There are girls that have neither and are incredibly slow and have no handling skills, but pass often, that are on the first team, so it doesn't make much sense.
The U10G also lost their second team's coach since he is now the U7G/U8G head coach - and this is a huge loss for the girls, but great for the very littles. The new U10G second and third team coaches are new carry over dad coaches from Spring'25. The second team dad is is friendly to the parents but severely lacking and inconsistent with his coaching and heavily favoring his own daughter on the same team. He's less of a coach, and more of parent, and it's very obvious to us on the parent sidelines. The girls are great players and can easily play without him as a coach, but will thrive if they can find a better coach to replace him. The second team coach has also never coached before which also leaves much to be desired. The third team coach is effective with his strategic plays and calls, but needs to be more vocal/audible.
A lot of SYC left and joined the U10G this season, we also gained a few from the BRYC bridge, and one from TSJFC that was immediately put to the U10G first team.
