I was one of five kids. 2 of us - me ( girl) and my brother were terrible at bedwetting until about 12 years old. I remember my mom being upset, because she had to wash all the sheets. There were no diapers for us, as we grew up in a different country. We just grew out of bedwetting and now in our early 50s, we are perfectly normal functioning adults. So I would not worry too much about it.

I would use this as a chance to explain how everyone is different. And also how some things are just totally out of your control.

No. Not after the age of 4-5.
