Room and board is a big deal. Off campus ain’t cheap either.

These schools top $40k and engineering at UVA jr year with RB in-state is 60-70k

DP. I agree that room and board costs are a substantial portion of the total cost increases. That's presumably due to inflation.

It was definitely expected but the colleges can't pin this on inflation. College prices have been rising waaaaayyyyyy faster than inflation since the 90s.

Agreed. But the astronomical prices are probably adding fuel to the anti-intellectual fire that Trump is stoking. Crazy times.
