We work with a travel advisor who plans everything for us.

I just used a Reddit thread to find recommendations for a scuba dive operator in a specific city. I was surprised but it was the only place I could find reviews.

I find the disney adventure itineraries really helpful for this. I’ve also looked at Austin adventures but those are often really outdoorsy so can be harder to just slot in.

I do look at viator. But find it not that helpful. I also check trip advisor. Cruise critic forums can actually be great if it’s a port city—those people travel at lot and often have repeat experience with tour operators in specific cities.

I do think there’s just too much information and too many reviews. It’s hard to filter out the meaningful reviews.

+1. If it’s a big important trip I might join a FB group specific to the destination.

Sure, go walk around Soweto yourself. Report back.

Op is likely going somewhere touristy in Europe, not South Africa or the Congo 🙄
