Your post should read: this is a violation of article XXX of Safesport and has been reported to safesport@usaswimming.org. I understand that filing a false report is in itself a violation of safesport and may also result in civil and criminal penalties.

Please actually back up your allegations instead of anonymous smearing and hints of violations. Which specific section of safesport code does it actually violate--not just some out of context FAQs. The closest thing I could find in the code was Article XI, Section H.2.f "Unsupported Allegations"

The rule I was raised with is that you always ride the team bus.

Flying is more complicated though. If all or nearly all of the swimmers were on the same commercial flight, the coach should be on it too. So should the private plane swimmer, but that’s not the question.

If the swimmers were all booking different flights, my sense is that the coach should adhere to whatever the policy on gifts is. If he/she wouldn’t take a check from a family for the amount of the ticket, they probably shouldn’t accept the flight unless there is a pressing logistical reason.

If this is real question, then no this isn't an issue any more than a family giving a ride in a van to a meet. Sounds like the parents were present so no safety issues. As for favoritism, times speak for themselves and that's a question for the coach and the club. Good for the family for having a plane and offering a seat.

If this isn't a real question and just more spreading of hatred targeted towards who I suspect this is about, what the hell is your problem? Grow up. If you have to hide the names because you are afraid your post will be banned, solid indication you shouldn't be posting it to begin with.

Either age group ISCA or Open Waters. They're the only two left. 😂

To offset the hyper polluting use of the private plane, this family should offer seats to as many people in the team as possible.
