Developmental players are rostered RL but train 2-3x/wk with VDA.
developmental players at VDA are not actually DPs the way ECNL defines it. they just get to come to practice. maybe, if roster is small, and enough players on VDA get hurt, they may get a chance to play in a real game, but they just get to come to practice up to twice per week for no extra cost to them. then, rarely more than one of them will ever make it onto to VDA for following year bc like most clubs, VDA doesn't promote many players from its feeder clubs after U13. dp is used as a carrot to keep people at PWSI or VSA same as every other ECNL club in our area.

DD’s VDA ECNL team has 4 players that were DP’s. All of them were promoted from PWSI or VSA.

It’s up to two practices with VDA for the DPs. Not 3. DPs don’t get to play in games though.
