Its doing a lot. It's one of the reasons why Elon is backing off the government and trying to focus on his businesses
People selling used Teslas do not hurt Tesla at all. They already got paid for that car. Try again.
Sure it does, just maybe not immediately. An excess of used teslas means they will sell for cheaper. That will make new buyers think twice - both because they can get a used one cheap and because they may lose more money than other cars when they want to sell it later.
And, honestly, regardless of politics, I wouldn’t buy one now - I am a female who drives alone often. I am not trying to get into scuffles with people over a stupid car. I bet many people, even Trump supporters feel the same.

Because Elon's needlessly cruel treatment of federal employees, which continues to impact short and long-term services to the American population, has created lasting resentment. Remember that he stands to make a profit off his ties to Trump: preferential tariffs, lucrative government contracts, not to mention hoovering enormous quantities of valuable confidential data to outmaneuver competitors and enhance his Grok AI. Since he's inflicted entirely unnecessary harm on the country, people don't want to see his companies succeed. They want retribution for what are probably crimes.
