Because American cars are junk. Look at what poor people drive. Old American cars. Do you want to be like poor people?

American cars are junk. A lot of them have 20 recalls first year or so. Everyone I know has a foreign car. Lexus, Toyota, Honda, and Subaru.

They are usually more reliable.

Some GMs are made in MX.

Some subarus are made in the USA.

Consumer reports is a rag a step below the NY Post

Actual order is for 2025 cars according to Motor Trend. 4 out of 7 top brands are American. Buick is boring but it is always near the top for decades now.
1. Lexus
2. Buick
3. Mazda
4. Toyota
5. Cadillac
6. Chevy
7. GMC
8. Porsche
9. BMW
10. Mini

I'm panic buying toilet paper instead of cars. I learned from 2020.

This is my plan for selling my 10 year old car. I just bought a new car this weekend before tariffs hit but I was planning to buy a new car by summer and I found a good deal plus low Honda financing.

I was in Santa Monica CA yesterday where there is a Tesla dealership in a prominent location. I was surprised to see quite a few people in there and no protestors. Also, tons of Teslas on the road here in CA - but that has much less to do with Elon than the state’s push for EVS and the cost of gas here.

We leased a Tesla and picked it up this weekend. It was stupid cheap. We need a third car for the next several years so after looking into buying something used, we ended up with a very inexpensive Tesla lease. I wouldn’t normally lease, but it’s a temporary need.
