The less the gov spends, the more that people get to keep their hard earned money and not have it wasted by some politician or staffer. That's the way I see it.

Except “the people” won’t see that money. It will be returned to Corporations and billionaires who are already awash in cash. Since they will simply park the funds (or invest overseas) there will be little economic benefit.

This is due to them firing IRS agents, each of whom would recover exponentially more than their salaries in taxes.

Then how about if the average person doesn't pay and overwhelms the IRS. You hurt us. We hurt you.

I suggested this in January here jokingly-what if enough of us decided not to pay our federal taxes? Democratic states and anyone else who wants to could set up escrow accounts for fed taxes and still receive state taxes straight up. But it would probably just get people in trouble unless millions participated and it's too late for that this year.
