My parents are in their early 70s and are in much better shape than my grandparents at the same age. But that's mostly a smoking thing. Cigarettes really took a toll on my grandparents' generation.

But didn't it feel like that when you turned 40? Then by 50 you thought it wasn't 40 that was old but it's more 55 or 65. Same when you near 60, when you think 70 is old. As a PP said, old is 10 years older than your current age.

Same. Except we probably were middle aged 5-10 years ago. 😆

I don’t feel old but definitely notice a cheerfulness difference with younger friends. They are so bubbly. I miss that part of myself.
