Military website. About Jackie Robinson. And his military service.
The news article to which the OP links notes that the page was reinstated this afternoon.

They wanted the headline of Trump erased Jackie Robinson.

This is downright evil. This can’t be defended. When people start saying they are ashamed of this nation, people will know why. This administration only cares about white men. I feel physically nauseated reading this.

WE didn’t do anything. THEY did.
I think the difference is that the site is about "Athletes who served" rather than "Blacks that served."
It was a DEI page that was removed. There is a difference in a page devoted to athletes and one devoted to those of a certain race.
Just like there is a difference between someone who is supported through their amazing athletic career and someone who managed the same despite every disadvantage, including racial disadvantages. But I guess some people are concerned that other people might feel bad if we acknowledge that?

This is the problem. When outrageous things like this or the erasure of the pages re the Tuskegee airmen or Ebola Gay are pointed out, the pages can be reinstated because everyone realizes how ridiculous it is.
But what about all the pages that are being erased without a public hue and cry? We have no idea what we are losing.

Why do we have to? He was a traitor who lost a war. Next.
